Talking back to the media

Google announced a new experimental feature on its Google News site in the U.S. that allows any person mentioned in a news story that's linked on that site to submit a written response.

Wow. If other online news media follow Google's lead, this will give all of us the opportunity for real dialogue on an issue. How many times have clients said to me, "The reporter talked to me for 20 minutes, and all he/she used was this half a sentence that does not convey what I really think..." The only way to counter that (up till now) is with a letter to the editor that is printed a long time after the article appeared.

Stay tuned to this one. It will be very interesting to watch how it develops.
