She is an Accredited Public Relations professional and founder of the award-winning marketing agency, Smith Asbury Inc. Her clients are individuals and organizations who are visionary experts in their industry.
Gifted in her ability to capture the key message and strategically position an organization, Judy is acclaimed by peers and clients alike for the results she achieves.
She has worked with a wide variety of clients for twenty years, serving often as an adjunct CMO or marketing director. Among her success stories are: helping a city win lucrative bids for NFL Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup soccer finals; assisting in the launch and successful development of the cut-flower industry in an Asian nation; helping a new health care foundation define its identity and image; helping a national chain of restaurants build local brand awareness and sales.
Judy is a member of the distinguished Counselor’s Academy of the Public Relations Society of America and has served on the Board of Directors of the Publicity Club of Los Angeles. She has received awards from numerous professional associations including: IABC Ace Award, PRSA Prism, PCLA Pro, and the ICSC Maxi Award. She, along with her partner Greg Asbury, received a Certificate of Commendation Bronze Anvil PRSA award for innovative public relations tactics for their book, Rainforests to Flowers.
