Book – The Floral Industry in Indonesia

The National Flower Gardens of Indonesia were created in 1995 to launch the fledging cut-flower export business in that country. Knowing that botanical gardens generally take 10 years “growth-time” before they are formally recognized, Smith Asbury photographed, wrote and designed the book, Rain Forests to Flowers as part of a strategy for immediate recognition and respect. The implemented plan was very successful, and the thriving floral industry in Indonesia today credits its start with this campaign.
